The Most Unusual Restaurant In Texas Needs To Be Experienced To Be Believed
We’re blessed with plenty of unusual restaurants in Texas, but none stand out quite like Jerry Mikeska’s Bar-B-Q in Columbus. It might look like an unassuming diner at first glance, but the inside is a testament to just how much we love hunting here in the Lone Star State.
Located directly off I-10 in Colombus, this restaurant is pretty much the epitome of unassuming. Nothing on the outside could even remotely prepare you for what lies within the four walls.
Over 200 animal heads are mounted on the walls - everything from deer to cattle. You'll have a blast trying to name them all...and the game might distract you from the creepiness of having their eyes on you while you eat.
The menu covers all the bases: chicken, sausage, pork ribs, steak, sandwiches, and plenty of delectable sides. You'll be more stuffed than the animals after you're done eating!
Lunch is served buffet-style four days a week, so you'll have the opportunity to try a little of everything. We know it can be difficult to pick & choose when it comes to BBQ, so Mikeska's makes sure you don't have to!
Pile your plate high with all the goodies, and try not to think about how some of your food might have come from the poor guys hanging on the wall (oh, who are we kidding - that doesn't phase us at all here in Texas.)
