Dating to 1912, The Adolphus was the first luxury hotel in Dallas. It was the brainchild of Adolphus Busch, a German immigrant who saw the immense potential in the city. The hotel was the tallest building in Dallas for an entire decade, towering at a whopping 22 stories high.
This photo was taken all the way back in 1910 when construction on the hotel had just begun. It took two years to complete, with horse-drawn carts and talented workers helping realize Busch's vision.
