The Massive LEGO Playground In Texas That Few People Know About
Most people don’t know this, but Texas is home to a giant indoor LEGO playground. With 10 different hands-on attractions featuring rides, games, and themed rooms where kiddos can build whatever their little hearts desire, it definitely belongs on your family’s summer bucket list. There’s even a once-a-month adult night where nobody under 18 is allowed!
Different from the theme park in California, LEGOLAND Discovery Centers are an entirely different way to enjoy these age-old building blocks. 10 hands-on attractions let kids use both their logic and creativity, building epic models and learning all there is to know about LEGOs.
In the right-hand corner, you'll see a play zone complete with climbing walls, slides, and a jungle gym. It's a perfect start to the day, allowing kiddos to burn off some energy so they can better concentrate on the other, more involved, attractions.
Little ones can put on their thinking caps and partake in several different building activities. They'll have the opportunity to take workshops, design cars and race them down a test track, and compete to erect the tallest LEGO tower. Areas with soft bricks are also available for tiny tots ages 2-5.
Known as "MINILAND," this exact replica of San Antonio is made from over 1.5 million bricks. Gondolas float down the River Walk, and downtown comes to life as day fades into dusk. How many landmarks do you recognize?
A 4D cinema shows three of the latest LEGO movies at any given time. Even if you've seen them before, special effects like wind, rain, and snow bring the stories to life in the most exhilarating way possible.
Before heading out, don't forget to stop by the gift shop. You'll find all the newest, most coveted LEGO products as well as limited-edition items not available in stores.
Other attractions include two interactive rides, a cafe serving snacks, full meals, and beverages. If you're not a parent but still fully in touch with your inner child, an adult night is held once a month from 7-10 p.m. (No children allowed!)
