There’s Only One Remaining Blockbuster Video Store In All Of Texas And You Need To Visit
Much to the dismay of the entire country, our favorite movie rental store declared bankruptcy a few years ago. I was under the impression that the company was totally extinct, but to my pleasant surprise, I was mistaken. There is, in fact, one remaining Blockbuster in Edinburg, and one step inside will instantly take you back to childhood
The all too familiar logo will greet you as you pull up, instantly bringing back cherished childhood memories of searching for the perfect film to watch on family movie night.
There are so many to choose from! Each genre - horror, drama, action, family, etc - has its own section, and it's so hard to choose. I remember walking up to my parents with a stack full of movies in hand, asking if we could rent all of them.
And once you've selected your movies, you can't leave without picking up a few snacks. I remember walking down this aisle as a child, wide-eyed as could be, staring at all the treats with the yearning only a 7 year old understands.
Same goes for ice cream bars. Something about these giant cases with sliding doors provides an enormous hit of nostalgia - especially those strawberry shortcake bars in the upper left.
