Henrietta Creek Orchards In Texas Has Over 500 Apple Trees
Nothing says fall quite like apple picking, and one North Texas orchard is more than equipped for the occasion. Henrietta Creek Orchard has over 500 apple trees whose fruit will be ripe for the picking any day now. Let’s take a tour:
More than 500 dwarf apple trees bear fruit each fall. Walking up and down the seemingly endless rows is nothing short of an enchanting experience.
Apples will be ripe for the picking in another week or so. The season generally lasts about a month, but you can visit the orchard's Facebook page to receive updates in real-time.
Further setting the scene is autumnal decor guaranteed to make you feel all warm and cozy inside. Nothing commemorates harvest season quite like a wagon filled with the products of fall.
Visiting the orchard also provides an unparalleled educational opportunity. You'll learn all about pollination, honey extraction, and how we can help save the bees.
Hands-on exhibits teach little ones about the importance of small farming. They'll plant crops, till soil, and finally reap what was sown. You might have some little gardeners on your hands when it's all said and done!
While apple picking is fun for all ages, schoolchildren especially enjoy it. Field trips to the orchard are not only welcome, but encouraged!
Address: 14255 Old Denton Road, Roanoke, TX 76262.
