Texas’ First Ever Girl Scout Cookie Festival Is Coming To Texas This Month
Girl Scout Cookies hold a special place in all our hearts, whether we ourselves were scouts or simply grew up eating the delicious treats. Later this month, a Girl Scout Cookie festival is coming to San Antonio, and it’ll unleash the inner child in all of us.
It's officially Girl Scout Cookie season, and San Antonio is celebrating in a big way. The Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas are hosting the first ever Girl Scout Cookie Flavor Fest in just a couple weeks, and it's exactly what your inner child (and sweet tooth) needs.
From February 24 until March 1, several restaurants, bars, coffee houses, and dessert shops will put their own twist on a classic Girl Scout Cookie flavor. Six local businesses, including The Scoop, will be participating this year.
How scrumptious does this Thin Mint ice cream look? It's a vanilla base studded with real Thin Mint cookies, offering a cool, yet indulgent taste sensation in every bite. You could also opt for a milkshake with Thin Mints crumbled on top!
Cereal Killer Sweets, a gourmet rice krispy treat shop, is offering a triple-layered bar for the festival. It's inspired by three Girl Scout Cookies: Thin Mints, Samoas, and S'mores, delivering the flavor mashup of a lifetime.
Perhaps the most decadent dessert of all resides at Mi Familia de mi Tierra. Treat yourself to a Mexican chocolate cake filled with a crunchy Tagalong crusted peanut butter cheesecake, iced in peanut butter mousse and ganache, and topped with full Tagalongs. We're drooling already!
Other offerings in the lineup include a Samoa latte, Thin Mint cocktail, and pancakes with a to-be-announced flavor. So no matter your cookie of choice, rest assured there'll be at least one creative rendition.
One lucky person who enters the social media contest will win a full year's supply of Girl Scout cookies! All you have to do is visit a partnering venue, snap a photo of yourself enjoying a Girl Scout Cookie-inspired treat, and post it to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with the following hashtags: #GirlScoutCookieFlavorFest and #GirlScoutsBuildsLeaders.
