There’s Nothing Better Than This Epic Festival In Texas
Well, folks, it’s that time of year! The South Texas State fair is here yet again, setting the Beaumont night sky ablaze with the flashing lights of all your favorite rides and games. This event is arguably one of the most anticipated attractions in the area, drawing enormous crowds annually who partake in all the festivities. From delicious foods you won’t find anywhere else to an exhilarating rodeo to rides and games sure to leave you laughing in enjoyment, this is one place you absolutely must visit this year.
Texans young and old look forward to this enormous fair each year. With rides, games, delicious food, a rodeo, and more, it truly is a Texas-sized event.
Livestock showing is one of the most popular attractions here. Win cash prizes as you proudly present the swine or steer you worked so diligently to raise.
And let's not even get started on the food. Funnel cakes, turkey legs, everything fried or on a stick (or both!) that you could possibly imagine...sometimes I come solely to sample as many booths as possible.
Not everyone knows this, but there's a rodeo at the fair! Watch some good old fashioned calf-roping, bull riding, and all the other signature events as you munch on all your goodies.
The rides and games get better and better each year. Whether you like the adrenaline of being upside-down, the nostalgic whimsy of fun houses, or trying to win a stuffed animal as big as you by popping balloons with darts, there's something for everyone.
You can also peruse hundreds of vendors selling everything from jewelry to homemade candles inside the Ford Exhibit Hall. With all the options, you'll be sure to head home with a few treasures in hand.
The fair is a joyous time for Southeast Texans, bringing people from all walks of life together for one simple purpose: to have fun. This week is looking to be an amazing one, y'all!
The fair runs through this coming Sunday, April 9, and has several themed days with possible discounts. More information on hours, ticket prices, and all the individual attractions can be found on this website.
Have you ever been to the South Texas State Fair? Are you a rides and games kind of person or do you just go for the food?
