Here Are 7 Eclipse Parties In Texas Perfect For Viewing The Big Event
We’re only a couple weeks away from the Great American Eclipse, and even though we won’t see it in its totality here in Texas, it’s still an amazing phenomenon that won’t occur again until 2024. Here are seven awesome ‘star parties’ with special telescopes and protective glasses so that you can view the eclipse safely and directly!

About 75% of the sun will be covered here, and the park rangers will teach you what solar eclipses are and how they happen as well as how ancient people explained them. You'll observe how the shadows change as the eclipse progresses, how animal behavior changes, and you'll even get to see the eclipse with your own eyes (while wearing special glasses, of course!) The party takes place from 11:30am-2:30pm on Monday, August 21.
