Texas definitely has no shortage of beautiful hikes to embark on, but many are extremely long, difficult, or located in areas far too remote to access easily. Enchanted Rock Summit Trail, however, checks none of those boxes. This short trek is centrally located in Fredericksburg (just over an hour away from Austin) and is accessible to almost everyone. Not to mention the views are breathtaking!
At just 1.3-miles, Enchanted Rock Summit Trail is perfect for a quick weekend adventure. With an elevation gain of less than 500 feet, it's kid-friendly and suitable for most skill levels.
Smaller rocks can be found along the trail; miniature versions of the giant monolith they rest atop. Do any of them make shapes? See how many you can find!
Visit Enchanted Rock’s website or Facebook page to learn more. You can also head to this AllTrails page to get a closer look at the trail itself.
