There’s A Texas Shop Solely Dedicated To Dr Pepper And You Have To Visit
…okay, it’s actually MORE than just a shop. Dublin Bottling Works is what started it all – and by “it,” I mean the best soft drink ever to be created – Dr Pepper. We guzzle the stuff like water here in Texas, and you can tour the place where it was first bottled (and try some, of course!)
Editor’s Note: Unfortunately, since the time of publication, tours are no longer offered.
Having been in the soda bottling business for over 120 years, Dublin Bottling Works is the oldest facility of its kind in Texas.
Tours of the plant are available, and you'll get to see, among other things, the actual bottling line. It's still in operation today, so it's pretty neat to watch the historic process unfold right before your eyes.
You'll also get to walk through the original offices, lined with memorabilia from floor to ceiling. Some very important conversations took place in these very rooms - conversations that played a pivotal role in the production and sale of our favorite soft drink.
At the end of the tour, step up to an old-fashioned soda fountain and reminisce on cherished childhood memories as you sip on pure nostalgia. You can also purchase a wide variety of mementos to ensure you'll never forget your trip.
