This 20-Mile Texas Scenic Drive Winds Through The Remote West Texas Desert
Hiking is great and all, but sometimes, it’s nice to enjoy nature from the comfort of your vehicle. You can do just that on Rio Grande Village Drive, a 20-mile scenic route that winds through the remote West Texas desert.

Next time you're in the area, hop on the Rio Grande Village Drive for a 20-mile adventure through the remote West Texas desert.

You'll see all sorts of native wildlife, including roadrunners, coyote, rabbits, and javelina.

There's also a seasonal Visitor Center, campground, and general store.

Just beyond it lies a scenic overlook that boasts unparalleled views of the mountainous topography. Definitely plan on stopping to take some pictures!

It takes you right down to the almighty Rio Grande - during the warmer months, bring a swimsuit and take a dip before heading back.

Breathtaking wildflowers line the road, and they're truly a sight to see.

That means it's perfect for families with kids and pets, offering the same views you know and love without any of the potential danger.
