The City of Carrollton pays an annual homage to the railroad with a one-of-a-kind and mostly-free blowout festival! The 9th annual all-day Festival at the Switchyard honors the critical role the railroad played in putting Carrollton on the map and its continued importance to the city’s viability today and in the future. Best of all, the festival is free! It is packed with free concerts with top-name entertainment, free rides and games, and free children’s entertainment! Only the food costs extra, and hey, that’s fair enough, right? Here’s why you should help the city celebrate its heritage on Saturday, November 3rd!
2017's concert was a music aficionados dream, with a lineup that includes The Toadies, Everclear, Local H, Emerald City, and more.
Parking is free, but limited at the DART train station at the northeast corner of Belt Line and Broadway. Consider taking the DART Green Line to the Downtown Carrollton Station.
