Cedar Hill State Park is surprisingly close, yet feels like a lifetime away from the hustle-and-bustle of the city and the activities that seem to overload our time. It’s only 20 miles from downtown Dallas and 30 miles from Fort Worth! As if swimming, fishing, hiking, and exploring isn’t enough, this state park even features a farm so visitors can learn about their agricultural history! Here’s what to look forward to when you visit:

The park is located at 1570 FM 1382, Cedar Hill, 75104. Daily entrance fee is $7 and $5 for an overnight stay.It is open Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Penn Farm Agricultural History Center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Children under 12 are always free!
