We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

The drive there is spectacular by itself as Mother Nature starts its fall transformation.

This young family took a train trip here from Rusk Depot in 1977.

Leaves typically begin to change in late October.

Costumes are welcomed!

Longer train rides and meal services are offered for adults at other times. Special seasonal events are held by Texas State Railroad throughout the year; be sure to check out the always-popular Polar Express!
