If you have a sweet tooth, you have to try the homemade fudge from The Old Fudge Store in the quaint East Texas town of Jefferson.
Located in the heart of Jefferson's historic downtown district, the building dates to the late 1800s, and it has served as a general mercantile and confectionary since 1979.
The Old Fudge Store doesn't just sell food, either. It doubles as an antique shop and also offers toys, Jefferson souvenirs, kitchen gadgets, and so much more.
You'll see everything from classics like chocolate walnut to more unique varieties such as cookies and cream and banana. Can't decide? The staff is happy to let you sample any flavors you're curious about before you commit.
In addition to fudge, the store also boasts more than 60 types of gourmet chocolates (25 of which are sugar-free!) Turtles, truffles, and pralines are just a few of the decadent, handmade treats you'll see.
