The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum is located inside the Santa Fe Train Depot. This incredible building was completed in 1911 and operated as a grand transportation hub until the early 1990s.
In 2000, the city of Temple turned the abandoned train depot into a fascinating museum. Today, visitors flock here to see the amazing displays.
The permanent galleries sit on the first and second floors. These exhibits detail the rich history of the Santa Fe Train Depot.
