This Small Town Near Austin Becomes a Whimsical Christmas Village Every Year
For the past 28 years, Johnson City has transformed into a whimsical Christmas village for the holidays. Stroll through thousands of twinkling lights, smell the sweet hot cocoa, and let your inner child run free. This magical lights display is a jolly way to celebrate the end of the year.

Over a million lights will twinkle through this charming Hill Country town, and there's no shortage of fun festivities. Bring the pups and load up the car! This family-friendly event will make everyone feel merry and bright.

Stop by for the courthouse lighting ceremony at 6:30 pm on November 24th. You won't want to miss the booming fireworks display and bubbling excitement.

On November 24th and 25th, The Lights Spectacular will host a chuckwagon food court. Local non-profits will set up booths and sell fair favorites. Sink your teeth into chili cheese fries and satisfy your sweet tooth with some funnel cake. All proceeds benefit Hill Country organizations!

The Lighted Hooves and Wheels parade will wipe away any trace of the winter blues. This gorgeous display, full of vibrant floats and creative spectacles, begins at 6:30 pm.

The Johnson City Garden Club's handmade ornaments will wow your secret Santa, and dozens of downtown merchants will have fabulous finds to put under the tree.

On December 17th, National Park Rangers will lead tours through LBJ's historic home. Full of fascinating stories, LBJ's home is a sight to see. Stop by the boyhood home at 6:00 or 9:00 pm to soak up some Texas history.
