The Sky Will Be Filled With Colorful And Creative Hot Air Balloons At The Victory Cup In Texas
There are plenty of hot air balloon festivals in Texas throughout the year, but only one is in the Capital City. Dozens of them will take to the skies this May in The Victory Cup, a polo tournament featuring tons of delicious food vendors, live music, shopping, and so much more. You can even hop in the basket and take a ride!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
In just under two months, the Austin skyline will be overtaken by dozens of colorful, luminescent hot air balloons for the first and only time this year. The Victory Cup, a polo match held across the country, is bringing food, fun, and — of course — balloons galore to the Capital City on May 2.
While polo is the main event, there are plenty of activities to keep all ages thoroughly entertained. Bring the kids and pets for a full day of games, shopping, delicious eats, live music, and so much more.
As the sun begins its nightly descent beneath the horizon, the balloons really start to come alive. Their ethereal glow permeates the festival grounds, evoking an unforgettable air of enchantment. To amp up the magic, book a ride that takes you on an exhilarating journey through the air.
No Texas festival would be complete without tons of food, and it certainly won't be in short supply. Food trucks and concession stands will be serving everything from whole lobsters to burritos stuffed to the brim with deliciousness.
The Victory Cup will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Ticket prices vary depending on what activities you’d like to partake in. Visit the festival’s Eventbrite or Facebook page to learn more.
Have you ever attended The Victory Cup? If so, were the hot air balloons even more incredible in person? Let us know all about your experience.
