Smoky Mountain Riding Stables has been operating in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for the last 20 years. As an established horseback riding stable, it offers a neat experience for the whole family.

As an authorized concessioner of the National Park Service, Smoky Mountain Riding Stables maintains high safety standards for all visitors. There's no experience required to ride, and you'll be guided through the experience no matter your skill level.

Smoky Mountain Riding Stables can be found roughly four miles east of Gatlinburg and is located in one of the most beautiful natural areas in the state. There are over 40 mountain trail horses on-site, and the animals have been highly trained by the stable staff.

Large groups are welcomed, and children ages 5 and up are encouraged to ride. A 45-minute experience is $26.50 per person, plus tax.

The horses are led at a walking pace, and you'll cover 3 miles of wooded trails. Keep an eye out for hidden streams and waterfalls!

Smoky Mountain Riding Stables operates on a series of seasonal schedules, so make sure you check their website ahead of time before you visit. Reservations are only available for large groups.
