Enjoy The Best View In All Of Tennessee At This Unique Lookout Restaurant
Tennessee is well known for how incredible its topography is, for the stunning plateaus of the mid-state, Big Muddy to the west, and the mountains out to the east. With so much to see, it’s difficult to figure out just where you should be spending your time. If you find yourself on the eastern side of the state, then you need to get dressed up and enjoy a meal at the McCloud Mountain Restaurant. The view is truly unlike any you’ve seen before.

The McCloud Mountain Restaurant and lodge is perched high atop the Great Smoky Mountains in La Follette, Tennessee. A unique restaurant both for its impeccable location and incredible views from the dining room, it has quickly become one of the most well-known panoramic views in the park.

Three meals are served a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll want to make reservations ahead of time, as walk-ins are harder to seat due to the pure popularity of the restaurant.

The dining room itself is situated overlooking the craggy mountains and the depths of the valley below. Enjoy something new, like a bison burger or a decadent prime rib platter, while ruminating over the beauty of a Tennessee sunset.

The restaurant itself opened in 2010 and hours depend on the weather. If there's fog or wet weather that makes traveling a bit more precarious, then you'll want to call for an update on daily hours.

Here you can see an aerial view of the area, with a teeny-tiny lodge right there in the center. How incredible does the countryside in Tennessee look?

Breakfast is served from 8:30am to 11am, lunch from 11am to 3:45pm, and dinner begins at 4pm.
