There’s A Discovery Museum In Tennessee That’s Insanely Fun For Kids
An exploratory museum is one of the best ways to help kids experience and understand the world with a hands-on angle. The Discovery Park of America is located in Union City, Tennessee, and it offers up arguably some of the most creative and interesting, child-safe exhibits in the state. If you haven’t been, this summer is wide open and ready for a fun season of learning and personal exploration!
The Discovery Park of America, located in darling Union City, Tennessee, offers up a way to be both entertained and educated with tons of tech, history, art, nature and science exhibits.
Exploration is encouraged, and inspiration is included in every visit. There are more than 10 exhibit galleries, including Regional history, Natural History, and Science/Space/Technology exhibits.
You'll find a 20,000-gallon aquarium that examines the underwater ecosystem in Reelfoot Lake and even a 60-foot replica of the human body. It's incredible!
There are all sorts of fossils and historic artifacts throughout the Discovery Center, as well as group discussions and presentations that examine everything from animals to earthquakes.
The Discovery Center doubles as a favored venue for folks looking to host weddings or social events, perhaps even a series of conferences for local businesses.
The fun continues outdoors! You'll find a replica of the Liberty Bell and an 1800's gristmill with water features like waterfalls across the property. Learn about nature and plants and flowers, experience old farm buildings and learn about rural life in the area circa the 19th century. There's every opportunity to learn across the 50-acre park for adults and kids alike.
The park is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are available on their official website. Address: 830 Everett Boulevard, Union City, TN 38261.
