Tennessee should’ve gained the momentum that “A River Run’s Through It” did for Montana, but we’ll just walk away and shrug our shoulders a bit. We are positively saturated with darling streams and waterways that keep our pretty state beautifully green – despite our rocky top. (Just laugh. You get it.) As for our river towns, they’re even more magnificent. We’ve found seven that stuck out with their perky personality and chuckle-inducing town characters. Take a look at a few of our favs!
Darling Clifton is set alongside the Tennessee River, and speaks to the heart of those who're looking for a small river town - there are less than three thousand folks!
Another spot along the Tennessee River, Savannah is known for its proximity to the Battle of Shiloh and as the location of the Cherry Mansion and Pickwick Landing State Park.
