The Tennessee main street is a thing of wonder. A darling place, run over with kids and families and parents ready to duck into an antique shop at a moment’s notice. There’s usually a bakery or a candy shop, a bit of room for the kids to play, and a coffee shop for that mid-afternoon pick-me-up. It’s at Christmastime that these spots really have the ability to show off, and you’re about to understand just WHY we love them so much.
This darling town kicks of the season with the lighting of the trees on the courthouse and town hall lawns. Perfect. Magic. The production is huge, and Father and Mother Christmas even show up to light the tree. Then everyone hangs out to watch an outdoor movie. How neat is that??
Cleveland puts together quite a few events throughout the whole of the holiday season, including various concerts, a tree lighting ceremony and a Christmas parade through the whole of their downtown.

Franklin is known as one of the best small towns in the whole of the US, proffering a darling Main Street that hosts "A Dickens of a Christmas" every year.
In 2016, Columbia is hosting its 30th Christmas parade. That's staying power! Tune in for the theme this year, "Babes in Toyland."
There's also an annual Christmas parade in McMinnville, and also Christmas in the Park. It's hosted every year by the Junior Auxiliary.
Bell Buckle is known for being sweet and personable, and that doesn't stop at Christmastime. They host their Old Fashioned Christmas downtown and it makes for a beautiful visit.
