The Inskip Grill In East Tennessee Was Recently Named One Of The Best Diners In America
Tennessee has its own skin in the game when it comes to southern cuisine, but most visitors tend to visit the honky-tonk-driven downtown of Nashville when they visit the Volunteer State. Over in Knoxville, you’ll find the Inskip Grill, and it’s been lauded as one of the best diners in the nation. Yes, you heard that right. The Inskip Grill is one of the best eateries in the United States, and Music City can just take a backseat to this Knoxville treasure. Learn all about it below!

The Inskip Grill first opened in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1967, and became known as a mon 'n pop hot spot that served up delicious meals with a bit of southern flair.

The eatery changed hands in 2018, and reopened that same year with massive hand-crafted burgers taking up prime real estate on the menu. There's a little something for everyone whether you're looking for a classic burger or an extravagant creation.

The burger options take up an entire page on the Inksip Grill menu. There is of course the "Inskip" which is a classic cheeseburger with no frills, just flavor. Then there's the "Popcorn Sutton" (pictured) that's made up of a cheddar cheeseburger topped with bacon, an onion ring, and moonshine-infused BBQ ham. DECADENCE.

There are sandwiches available for purchase as well, including a small but mighty number of salads and sides like fried pimento cheese (pictured), waffle ranch fries and mozzerella sticks. There's a kid's menu, as well, for the tiny ones.

Don't skimp on the dessert either! It's just as indulgent as the meal options. Try a famed "Grilla shake," made with Blue Bell Ice cream.

Will you be joining for a burger and fries, perhaps adding a milkshake on the side? We want to hear!

Head to the Inksip Grill from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Wednesday to Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. On the weekends, you can even indulge in an all-day breakfast menu. Yum! Keep in mind that the Inksip Grill is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
