The Tail of the Dragon links east Tennessee to west North Carolina, and is officially designated US 129. It's known as one of the most beautiful roads in the nation, but also one of the most dangerous.
What makes it so special, you may ask? The Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap runs for eleven miles, with 318 curves in between. Yes, you read that right - three hundred and EIGHTEEN.
