Just outside of the park you have amazing towns filled with incredible attractions that have people coming back time and time again. But are you looking for something truly rad? Make sure to check out Ripley’s Super Fun Zone in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Ripley’s Super Fun Zone is a retro '80s-themed attraction that hearkens back to one of the greatest decades of all time. Sitting on the main parkway that takes you through the center of Gatlinburg, this fun zone hosts four attractions.
There's everything from brightly neon-colored signs to references to pop culture. It's like taking a step back into a time when the hair was big, and Nintendo was the best console around.
The Super Fun Zone houses two areas for some laser-shooting excitement. The battlefield looks to take the '80s theme to a whole new level. Brightly colored walls depict comic book styles fitting everything from Back To The Future to classic video games. So put on a vest and get your blasters into the arena.
As you putt your way through the course, you will see '80s movie posters all along the wall. Famous '80s classics like The Terminator, Tron, and Top Gun all bring you back to these incredible stories that captured our attention at the movie theaters.
When you are done shooting your friends with lasers and playing mini golf, hop on over to shoot toys at Ripley’s Retro Toy Chest.
Each direct hit to a toy will result in different reactions. Classic retro toys like ET, The Millennium Falcon, or The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man are all there to interact with in the shooting gallery.
When you finish all of that, make sure to peruse the section of '80s items in the Retro Retail Store.
