This Tennessee Restaurant Serves The Most Ridiculous Burgers And You’ll Want To Try Them
Here’s the deal, folks. There’s probably not a better meal in the entire world than a good old fashioned cheeseburger with a side of fries. It’s a meal that can be done well by just about anybody, but it’s rare that you find a truly exceptional burger. At one spot in downtown Memphis, they have achieved that exceptionalism by not only providing burgers that are incredibly delicious, but are also bigger than your head. On the list of ridiculous Tennessee burgers, the Kookamonga is by far on the top of the list.

The Kooky Canuck first opened in Memphis in 2005 under the name "Big Food Lodge." The restaurant has since changed its name, but the food has not.

The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Memphis, right across the street from the famous Peabody Hotel. They also have a second location in Cordova, and they're both incredible.

What the Kooky Canuck is known for, though, are their Kookamonga burgers. They have a 4 pound version, a 6 pound version, and a monstrous 12 pound version.

As you might expect, these burgers come with challenges, and if you can finish them in under 60 minutes, you get the meal for free and bragging rights for the rest of your life. They let you have a friend help on the 6-pound burger and three friends help on the 12-pounder.

The restaurant has even been featured on the Travel Channel's "Man vs. Food" show, where the show's host failed to complete the challenge twice.

But if you're not in to 4-pound burgers, the Kooky Canuck also serves up other delicious menu items.

Grab some friends and try out a Kookamonga burger today at their original downtown location. They're open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day. (87 S 2nd Street)
