Ober Gatlinburg is a ski resort and amusement park that boasts outdoor activities, seasonal fun, dining, and shopping in the midst of the Great Smoky Mountains. It's a popular spot for families due to its wide range of both seasonal and year-round attractions.
One of the most popular experiences at Ober Gatlinburg includes a ride down the Alpine Slide. The ticketed attraction is available for folks over the age of 5, and kids under the age of 5 can ride with a paying adult.
The Alpine Slide has been open on the slopes since 1976, and it remains one of the most popular attractions in the park. You'll take the Scenic Chairlift to the mountain's midway point, then you'll hop aboard a sled of your own and ride the 1800 feet down to the bottom.
