The Timeless Nashville Restaurant Everyone Needs To Visit At Least Once
Elliston Place Soda Shop is a Nashville homage to the past, a beautiful representation of a time long lost to the rush of time and history. Still, you can make a visit to a soda shop that will transport you from the stress of today to the sweetness of yesterday (literal sweetness, in some cases). Have you been?
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. The Elliston Place Soda Shop has been serving Nashville since 1939. It is actually Nashville's oldest restaurant that has remained in the same location, which is quite the feat in our ever-changing real estate climate.

The building was originally used as a grocery and located on Elliston, named after the Elliston family that owned a majority of the surrounding area. It has played host to numerous tv shows and music videos, is listed in the published book, "1,000 Places to See Before You Die" and has a cameo on the National Registrar of Historic Places.

It's no wonder - you take a look inside and its as if you've stepped into a time warp. The current owners have done a fantastic job keeping the place up and running smoothly. It's great for breakfast, if you're looking for a pro-tip.

If you're in the mood, you should try their grilled cheeseburger sandwich! It's 1/3 pound of fresh ground beef tucked between two cheeses slices of bread. That sounds like heaven to us, especially when paired with some salty fries.

Can you find a better depiction of southern comfort? I think not.

Or this. HI BEAUTIFUL.

Having recently paired up with local delivery services, you can have your favorite eats from the soda shop no matter where you live. Well...it kind of matters. We'd be up for a slice of pie or some of those fried pickles any day of the week. You can visit yourself at 2111 Elliston Place.
What a fantastic little spot, wouldn’t you say?
