Germantown, an upscale neighborhood to the north of Nashville’s downtown city center, has experienced an incredible upheaval both in its atmosphere and culinary aesthetic in recent years. What once was a series of forgotten homes with expansive histories has become one of the most beautiful (and expensive) areas in the city. Tailor, one of the newest restaurants to open in Germantown, has reinvigorated the culinary space with a spot on Bon Appetit’s Hot 10 list, putting Nashville on the map with New York City and the ever-decadent restaurants of New Orleans.
