The popular Savage Day Loop is located 112 miles from Nashville, which means you're only ninety minutes from some of the prettiest countryside landscapes in the state. Located near Palmer outside of Chattanooga, the hike isn't hard to get to by car.

Or you could make a different decision... and find your way to The Bridge. If you take the 10-mile Collins Gulf Trail you'll find your way across a 100-foot suspension bridge over the Collins River.

The old-fashioned suspension bridge is one of the most jaw-dropping sights, looking so perfect yet wildly out of place in the middle of the forest. The 10-mile moderately traveled trail makes it easy to experience in both an isolated or group setting.
