You’ll Love The Tacos At This Neighborhood Mexican Buffet In Nashville
Finding good Latin American fare in the heart of landlocked Tennessee is sometimes an uphill battle, especially in the southern comfort capital of the south: Nashville. You’re more likely to find craft cocktails than a salsa-stuffed burrito that isn’t from Chipotle, which is why we were so excited at the opening of Nashville’s own Zulema’s Kitchen. It’s everything we’ve been dreaming of, and the perfect hot spot for folks based in the suburbs to the east of the city.

Zulema's Kitchen may have opened quietly, but the Latin American restaurant serves up breakfast and lunch with true local flair in Donelson.

Run by husband and wife duo Kurt and Zulema, the whole space radiates with honest hospitality and delicious fare. We love that breakfast is such an important part of the menu, too! The breakfast burritos are easy to grab on the go, and there's nothing like a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich in the morning.

Zulema hails from Mexico, and she brings family tradition and personal talent to the table at the aptly named Zulema's. Whether you're looking to indulge in chile-infused queso or chunky guacamole, everyone is bound to leave full and happy.

The grilled chicken taco is making waves, but we're partial to the handmade pupusas that are bursting with juicy pork. Tamales, tacos and burritos round out the menu, meshing the whole realm of visitor tastes with a solid home-cooked meal.

Try out Zulema's trio of salsas on the side of a heaping basket of chips, and make sure not to miss the taco side of the lunch buffet!

Tacos have seen a radical uptick in popularity in recent years, as if millennial's have found themselves the explorers of the Latin American realm. We know they've been around for awhile, saving mom's and dad's from the "what the heck do we cook for dinner?!" blues for years. At Zulema's, you get to make your own!

Choose to pack your corn tortilla with grilled chicken and black beans, perhaps the cotija cheese that's available in handfuls or the salsa verde. We'd recommend the salsa verde - it's delish!

You can continue your fun eating adventure around the heart of Nashville with a visit to one of these awesome outdoor patios in the city. Each one is better than the last, and we can imagine spending a few hours with an ice cold drink, right here.
