The One Town Near Nashville That Turns Into A Winter Wonderland Each Year
If you live in Nashville, you may want to get out of the rush of the city and enjoy a bit of time in the more traditional, small town of Franklin. This darling spot is home to quite a few families, young, old and growing, and give the Christmas season a sweet tinge of nostalgia for those looking to celebrate with a throwback to the days of old.

Franklin, Tennessee is lauded as one of the most adorable and livable small towns in the nation. This Tennessee gem is known for great schools and employment opportunities - plus a killer Christmas season.

The whole town decks the halls and gets in the holiday spirit. The darling downtown becomes the hub of the season, giving folks the chance to enjoy a chilly walk amongst the holly and wreaths.

Even surrounding neighborhoods work hard to show out for the December holiday season. This is truly a lovely time of year, out in Franklin.

The historic Franklin Theatre begins to show Christmas films, but you'll have to go early! Tickets go quick, and "It's a Wonderful Life" is a total favorite.

The tree lighting ceremony is also a big draw for folks, bringing in quite a few locals and visitors.

The Dickens of a Christmas Festival is one of the most popular attractions in Franklin, and this year marks the 32nd year it's been running.

The celebration that runs through the historic downtown is only accented by the Victorian architecture and costumes worn by the locals.

200 musicians flood the streets and give a beautiful homage to the beauty of the holiday.

If you're looking to attend the Dickens of a Christmas, the event will occur on 12/10 and will run from 10:00am to 12/11 at 6 pm. The event will take place on Main Street.
