You’ll Never Want To Leave This Massive Antique Mall In Nashville
There’s something sweet and nostalgic about finding an honest to goodness antique. There’s a loveliness to filling your home with furniture that has a story to it, finding knick-knacks to line your mantle that were once held by someone who loved them years before you. In Nashville, the one place you DEFINITELY need to visit is the Downtown Antique Mall, located just a second from our stunning southern skyline.
Hidden away from the main highlights of downtown, the antique mall may not look like much at first glance. It's out by the railroad tracks, tucked off and to the side. You'll have to maneuver your way into a quirky park job, but it's the experience of it that counts.
Enter only if you're looking for a special new addition to your home! There's a plethora of both mid-century and industrial pieces, perfect accents to any home.
Plus. this is the view from the roof - WHICH you can't access, but hey. Proof that it's downtown?
One of the neat things about the antique mall is its mix of new and old. You may find something from your childhood or a couple of years ago, it just depends on what you consider a treasure.
Just look at those rows. This is a lazy afternoon just WAITING to happen.
Their extensive inventory changes over quite frequently, so you'll be able to visit fairly regularly without repeating your furniture adventure. There are also art sculptures and pieces by Nashville artists scattered up and down the hallways - both the present and the past are represented quite well.
Stock up on globes, frames or old photographs, something for your mantle or to put in the library. Open from 10-530 Monday through Saturday and from 1-5 on Sunday, there's plenty of time to browse and hunt for something new (to you).
With this kind of view, there really isn't another place to visit, now is there? Plug 612 8th Ave S into your GPS for a visit, and you're set to go.
