It’s one of the most beautiful places just outside of the city and makes for an easy spot to get on a boat and leave your troubles onshore.
Marrowbone Lake is maintained by the TWRA, known as the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. There are 18 lakes in total, and each of them remain open year-round for both fishing and a myriad of outdoor recreational activities.
Marrowbone Lake itself is a stunning, natural oasis located just a hot second from the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. It's located about 20 miles outside of the heart of the city by way of Clarksville Pike and remains a popular spot for locals.

In order to fish on the lake you will need a permit. They're sold on-site. The park is of a middling size, and you'll be happily surprised to note that there are no crowds.
