The Place In Nashville That Makes You Feel Like You’ve Stepped Through A Magical Wardrobe
The Scarritt Bennett Center is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Nashville. Its stunning architecture and local popularity add to its allure, but we’re just as in love with its dedication to social justice and community betterment. This isn’t just a place for weddings and long walks on the lawn – there’s something deeper caught up in the magic.

The Scarritt Bennett Center is one of the most beautiful places in Nashville, coupling its gorgeous grounds with its usage as a nonprofit educational center.

The Wightman Chapel is also very popular for local weddings and special events. With it's stunningly high ceilings and gothic architecture, it makes for a beautiful place to visit and make memories. The Scarritt Bennett Center hosts more than one hundred weddings a year!

The campus spans ten acres, bursting with trees and expansive lawns. Meetings, conferences and all sorts of special events are hosted throughout the year.

Doesn't it look gorgeous all lit up like this? Other-wordly. It's quite a bit different than the more modernized buildings of downtown, and meshes perfectly with the history of nearby Vanderbilt University.

The Scarritt Bennett Center seeks out an active role in Nashville's community engagement opportunities. There are multiple educational courses offered throughout the year, including an annual calendar for classes that are both free and fee-based.

Some of the neatest classes they offer have a main focus on working for justice in the Nashville community. They tend to focus on social justice issues like intercultural understanding, women's empowerment and racial equality.

The center actually used to be a college campus, and you can even stay in some of the old dorm rooms. They're very simple, and also extremely cheap. Plus, they're close to lots of fun restaurants and parks. Some have even called it a, "mini-Hogwarts" of Harry Potter style.

Does this beautiful spot look magical to you? There's something about the vast expanse of of the lawns, the out-of-this-world architecture that looks like it belongs anywhere but the American south, and the sense of community that invigorates the entirety of the locale.

You can visit for yourself (or plan a frisbee game) at 1008 19th Ave S.
