Neely’s Bend is located in Madison, Tennessee, just outside the heart of Nashville. For many, this road is a lonely and dark testament to the familiar country lanes of our favorite movies. To us? Well, it’s just a quiet road with a place to be. We decided to drive down it ourselves and deem it lonely – or maybe not.

The first thing you should know about this pretty little place? It's pretty hard to get to. Yep, there's one way in and one way out, from Gallatin you make a left (or right!) onto Neely's Bend and you can drive straight through to the Cumberland River.

The road is increasingly rural, containing several hundred acres that keep this tiny Tennessee suburb up to the gills in rolling hills and green pastures.

The term, "Neely's Bend" actually refers to a major bend in the Cumberland River. Peeler Park is located at the very end of the road, rife with a greenway and boat ramp to the water.

You can only get to the water by the two-land road, which has contributed to the lack of construction and expansion in the area. There's even an abandoned swim club!

We'd recommend rolling the windows down and turning on some solid country music if you're going in the afternoon, and maybe rocking out if you decide to head down at night.
