The Little Known Street Festival In Nashville You Have To Attend This Fall
Finding a festival in Nashville is never too hard, especially with a booming local economy and new city transplants coming in droves. There are all sorts of exciting and artistic ideas, incredible humans with dynamic thoughts, and brazen plans that serve to rewrite the city’s landscape on a monthly basis. One of those new ideas is the fabulous Light the Nations Festival, a local experience that’s only a couple of years old but packs a fun loving punch.

The Nations neighborhood in west Nashville has seen a type of renaissance in the last couple of years. A once-sleepy neighborhood has been reinvigorated with a series of new builds and a flush of fun and quirky eateries.

What's a better way to get to know the neighborhood than a celebration with all of its residents? Light the Nations is a free festival that highlights local artists and vendors as well as hosts a slew of food trucks and live entertainment.

It's a fun experience for the whole family; one that's only in its third year running. Although fairly new, this celebration of one of Nashville's neighborhoods is a must-visit.

The one-day festival only lasts a few hours, but they're chock full of fun. With over 50 art, food, and craft vendors there's something for everyone.

There's a kids zone available with a bounce house and face painting alongside other fun activities, so no worries if you're bringing little ones along!

The festival runs along 51st from Georgia to Michigan Avenues - four blocks of fun and excitement. You can stop by the main stage and performance area, snag something to eat at Red Bicycle, or perhaps grab something cool to drink at the streetside bar.

Have you ever heard of this low-key festival? If you live in the Nations, you definitely don't want to miss it. Nashville loves to celebrate its own, and this fantastic little celebration is no exception.

The third annual Light the Nations street festival will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on 51st Avenue in The Nations neighborhood of west Nashville. We'll see you there!
