The city of Nashville is known for many grand and wonderful things, but did you know that every year it's visited by a whole horde of teeny, tiny hummingbirds? It's true! These magical little birds are known for being incredibly small and the buzzing sound that comes from their quickly moving wings.

The ruby-throated hummingbird will make its way north through the nation over the course of the springtime, and you may just find the lush state reinvigorated by wildflowers and these beautiful birds.

Hummingbirds are astounding little creatures. With over 300 species, the tiny bird may be small in stature, but it can be found all over the world.

It's not just the ruby-throated hummingbird that migrates, either. There are multiple species that travel through the United States each springtime, and it's their eventual destinations that change.

If you'd like to see a few more hummingbirds in your yard this season, make sure you put out a hummingbird feeder. You're most likely to find one at your local hardware store, or places like Home Depot and Lowes.

Plus, if you feed a few hummingbirds, you'll reinvigorate their migration and hopefully help with a successful mating season. Hummingbirds take on two migrations a year, one headed north and the other south, so you can expect an influx of buzzing birds come springtime and during the autumn season.

Keep an eye out for these beautiful hummingbirds, dear friends! You never know where you might find them in Nashville.
