If You Haven’t Tried The Hot Chicken From This One Nashville Restaurant, You’ve Been Missing Out
Nashville is known for their incredible food, especially when it comes to the city’s specialty: hot chicken. There are a lot of popular spots that pop up in and around downtown Nashville to try to trap the tourists, and even the local spots in the city are becoming inundated with hot chicken pilgrims. There’s still one spot in Franklin, though, that serves up some of the best hot chicken you’ll find anywhere, but you better get there soon before the word gets out….
Big Shake's Hot Chicken is located just a short drive out of downtown Nashville in Franklin. It might not look like much from the outside, but it's some of the best fried chicken in the country!
They're famous for their Hot Mess Chicken Sandwich, complete with hot chicken tenders, onions, pickles, lettuce and a special ghost pepper mayo. Be sure to get lots and lots of water!
But if you think that they're only good for their chicken, think again. Everything on the menu is absolutely incredible, from the chicken to the sides.
Big Shake's was recently the subject of national attention, as they were featured on Food Network's "Food Paradise" show. If you don't trust us, trust the Food Network. This place truly is a hot chicken paradise!
Big Shake's does a great job of balancing their fame with their down-home feel. While the restaurant has been featured on "Man vs. Food," and the head chef has been featured on Shark Tank, the restaurant still feels like a local gem.
If chicken isn't your thing, there are other options on the menu as well including incredible hot fish and world famous shrimp burgers! This picture though is chicken and waffles because we just couldn't resist.
Visit Big Shake's in Franklin today, but be sure to get there with plenty of time to spare in case they're super busy. They're open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. They're located next to IHOP in Franklin at 1203 Murfreesboro Road.
