The history of our great city is long and illustrious. It’s chock-full of great people doing great things, the raw run of war and captivating stories of heroism that bust up years and leave us wondering at the ways things used to be. We stumbled across an absolute treasure trove of photographs, some dated, others whose moments in time have been lost to the past, and fell in love with the beauty of them all. Care to take a look?

The beautiful restaurant has since been closed down, but the building still stands in north Nashville.

What a beautiful place, so very long ago.

It was destroyed in 1985.

This photograph was taken on February 20, 1960.

It's a shot of the Imperial House Apartments, taken on February 16, 1962.

Or perhaps entering? We'll never know.

You can still visit this local legend, located on Broadway in downtown Nashville.
