The Flintstones French Toast At Hopsmith Tavern In Nashville Will Bring Out The Kid In Anyone
Is there anything better than a big ol’ breakfast? Here in the south, we know how to serve up biscuits and gravy with sausage, pancakes, and mountains of scrambled eggs with the best of them. Tennessee is known and lauded for its delicious cuisine, and Hopsmith Tavern in Nashville is giving classic breakfast fare a bit of a twist. If you haven’t tried the Flintstones french toast, well. You have things to do.

Hopsmith Tavern may be a newer edition to Nashville's decadent dining offerings - it opened in 2017 - but it has quickly made a name for itself both for indulgent mealtime offerings and kind, thoughtful service.

The interior is both colorful and fun. The retro-inspired vibe is meant to send you back to a simpler time, where all you have to worry about is choosing what's on the menu. The three-story eatery boasts vintage decor, lava lamps, and even self-serve beer taps at a few special tables.

There are also two outdoor patios that are great for groups. With one completely covered and the other open-air, you can indulge in a bit of fresh air whether the sun is shining or those summer storms are brewing.

Hopsmith Tavern has a menu that focuses on indulgent eats. You'll find a large appetizer, taco, burger, and slider emphasis, and the full bar includes an expansive beer selection. The brunch menu is just as delicious as the offerings later in the day. A jumbo cinnamon roll comes baked in a cast-iron skillet with bourbon maple butter and sweet cream cheese icing, and the brunch nachos are topped with cheese, scrambled eggs, and sour cream.

But we're here for the Flintstone French Toast. It's like nothing you've ever seen - or tasted - before! The bread is battered in Fruity Pebbles cereal and then grilled. Topped with Rumchata cream and served with syrup, this is a breakfast you don't want to miss. Of course, other offerings from the griddle include the ultra-indulgent Tres Leches Pancakes and traditional French toast.

Come for brunch, come for lunch, come for dinner. Hopsmith Tavern has something for everyone and every palate no matter the time of day! The one thing you shouldn't bring? Your diet. Elevated bar fare reigns supreme at Hopsmith Tavern, and it's where you come to celebrate in the moment. Cheers!
