No matter your preference, this quaint little trail is one of the sweetest hikes near Nashville and is bound to get you back home before supper time. Bledsoe Creek State Park is located in Gallatin, Tennessee, and offers up one of the most beautiful natural experiences in the mid-state.
The park itself has a deep tie to state and Native American history, having once been a prime hunting location for Chickamauga, Cherokee, Shawnee and Creek tribes.

Nowadays, you can wander the waterfront and fall in love with the crisp autumn air whilst wandering clearly marked hiking and walking paths with loved ones.

There are more than six miles of hiking trails that crisscross the park, coupled with almost fifty campsites of varying capacities.
You can take any hiking trail out and back, or you can indulge in a longer trek outside with the 2.8 mile Bledsoe Creek Loop.

The trailhead itself is easy to find at the very front of the parking just off the parking lot. You don't have to stay overnight to indulge in this pretty natural home away from home.
The trails themselves are best used from the months of March to October. Although the park is open all year long, you'll want to make sure to exercise caution if you find yourself going during the more temperamental winter months.
Rife with trees, the moderately rated hiking trails through the park are perfect for folks of all ages. Make sure you bring the correct footwear and clothes for your time out and about, however. And bug spray!
