This Milkshake Trail Through Nashville Is Perfect For A Summer Day Trip
When it’s hot outside, the best remedy for sunburn and mid-afternoon exhaustion isn’t a nap or a walk in the shade…it’s a solid infusion of ice cream. Not just any ice cream, of course. We’re looking for a drink of highly delicious proportions. The kind we can carry with us to the pool, the kind that melt and no one will end up with a sticky mass all over their hands. The ever-iconic milkshake is the answer to your summertime prayers. In Nashville, these are a few of our favorites…

The Grilled Cheeserie made waves as a food truck before its brick-and-mortar store, and the addition of a milkshake bar to its already delicious grilled cheese menu has made it a local favorite. Hand-scooped and spun, all milkshakes, like The Peanut Butter Cup and Tiramisu flavors, run at roughly $6.50 and serve up a whole lot of fun. If you aren't in the mood for a classic shake, however, you can indulge in an old fashioned float. Address: 2003 Belcourt Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212

Located in downtown Nashville, Legendairy Milkshake Bar is known for its mile high and decadent treats. This trendy hot spot serves up a bit of fun with their milkshakes, boasting options like the coffee and doughnuts shake, made with a coffee ice cream with a chocolate icing rim covered in whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, a handful of crushed Oreos and a glazed donut on top. What?! Don't even get us started on the majestic unicorn shake... Address: 171 3rd Avenue N, Nashville, TN 37201

The GooGoo shop may be best known for its combination candy clusters, but the downtown dessert bar is conveniently located right off of the main tourist drag. Come for a milkshake, leave with a box of candy for later. The vintage feel is great for folks looking to experience a fun dessert shop in the heart of the American south.
Address: 116 3rd Avenue S, Nashville, TN 37201

Most folks know the Pharmacy for its decadent burgers and backyard beer garden, but it's the old time soda fountain that we really love. You can order a classic shake or malt for a mere $5! Choose from chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla and fall in love with dessert all over again.

The Soda Parlor is an East Nashville fixture that has a great, kid-friendly space that boasts all sorts of games and milkshakes. Open since 2016, it's here that you can indulge in everything from ice cream on freshly baked waffles to floats and moonshakes.
