The Best Little Bakeshop In America Is Right Here In Nashville
We have a sweet spot for pastries, and whenever a new space opens their doors we’re ready and rarin’ to try it out and let you know. Recently, we made a trip to the new Bakery by Frothy Monkey, located in the Shoppes at Fatherland in East Nashville. We’re not trying to go off the deep end here, but OH MY GOODNESS. This place is worth a visit (or twelve) and we have all the details.
Located in the space that was once known as Bella Bakery, this warm and comforting space gives off the smell of freshly baked breads and pastries at all hours of the day.
The full-service bakery is great for a snack or a full-on meal, with bread and pastries available for single purchase or at a wholesale menu. Keep in mind: there's not a lot of seating, so your goodies will be wrapped to go. This is a true blue bakery experience, one that you can enjoy long after you leave.
The public is raving about their delicious eats, as well as their eponymous coffee offerings. Try their egg and cheese on brioche, or their Emma Lou sandwich that caters to vegetarians with a delicious chipotle aioli.
Don't you dare skimp on dessert, either! Their breakfast buns will have you dreaming of breakfast, and their gluten-free butterscotch muffins have the internet in a frenzy. Snag one early so you don't miss out.
We'd recommend trying out their rustic sourdough bread, especially if you're looking for a solid loaf to take home. There's nothing like a tangy slice of bread and a swipe of jam.
Not in the mood for bread? Pie works! You can also indulge in their assorted cookies, scones, muffins, and cakes. You can buy by the slice or EVEN by the entire cake.
There are catering options available for private events, you just have to ask. If you're ready to take the plunge and indulge in some carbs and all the sugar, set your sights towards 1010 Fatherland Street in East Nashville.
