Tennessee's Incredible Milkshake Bar Is What Dreams Are Made Of
A milkshake bar sounds like dreamland, doesn’t it? A line of delicious, creamy ice cream just waiting to satisfy your sweet tooth is really the stuff of legends. Nashville gets a lot of buzz for their upscale restaurant scene – but we’d take grilled cheese and a malt any day. Explore the newly opened Grilled Cheeserie Meltshop, located in Hillsboro Village and ready to be your favorite place in Music City.

The Grilled Cheeserie Food Truck began serving the ever-hungry Tennessee masses in 2010, and it has received rave reviews (and a solid following) ever since. Their brick and mortar store just opened this January, to just as large of a fanfare.

Owned and well-loved by husband and wife team Joseph Bogan and Crystal De Luna-Bogan, the Grilled Cheeserie is a passion project as much as it is a solid, well thought out local eatery. This isn't Kraft singles and a slice off the dollar loaf - grilled cheese is served up strong in this joint.

Their grilled cheese is dreamy (obviously), and we'd recommend the Buffalo South. It's stuffed with pepper jack cheese, dripping with buffalo sauce and blue cheese aioli with a whole lot of organic chicken. You can snag it on sourdough or their gluten free bread - it's up to you. But on to milkshakes!

One of the neatest new facets of the store is their milkshake bar, serving up classic favorites like vanilla and chocolate, mixing in some peanut butter with The Peanut Butter Cup and even catering to those with food allergies and sensitivities with a Vegan Coconut Shake.

Their "Milkshake of the Moment" is always a neat shake up from the norm. This is the June featured shake, named: "Peach Be With You." In July, you can enjoy the "The Bang! Bang! Berries & Cream." All red, white and blue, it's a vanilla bean milkshake with blue-blackberry and rasp-strawberry jams, topped off with white chocolate and rainbow sparkle bark from the local Bang Candy Co. Delicious!

A majority of their ingredients and specials are locally inspired, whether from Nashville farmers or our favorite summertime traveling peach truck.

This is a line up we'd LOVE to see on a daily basis. What will you dream up?

You can visit for yourself at 2003 Belcourt Avenue, in Hillsboro Village. Make sure to bring your out-of-town guests, too! This is truly a Nashville gem that's worth sharing.
