Summertime is slowly waning, the days getting just a little bit shorter and the heat index climbing and climbing until the cooling of autumn. Before we say goodbye to the shuddering heat until next year, we figured we’d head out to the River Romp on the eastern side of the state. It’s a little-known gem that’s truly a magical experience in the heart of the mountains. Tennessee may be landlocked, but we do know how to enjoy the outdoors.
