Not only does it offer beautiful scenery for everyone to enjoy at all times of day, they even offer classes, activities, and more! Just on the East side of Memphis, Germantown is the perfect mix of city and country, making it the perfect place for people to come learn about farming.
The Bobby Lanier Farm Park is 10 acres and is dedicated to teaching sustainable living through agriculture and environmental stewardship.
The best part? All of the events at the park are free, making this a great place to take the whole family.
Even when there aren't events going on, the park is open from dawn to dusk and is free for people to roam.
The park also supports local farmers by hosting a Farmers Market every Thursday from June to August.
Want to help out? They're always looking for gardeners and farm hands. Spots are always open for adults, teens, and groups.
From after school programs to community scarecrow contests, there's always a way to get involved at the Farm Park.
Programs are only available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
