Tennessee limestone is ripe for the creation of caves and caverns, and the Cumberland plateau is absolutely full of them. This particular cave, just outside of McMinnville, is known across the state for its underground bluegrass concert series, but few Tennesseans know that it’s also a perfect spot to find some of the most ancient and fascinating fossils in the state.
