The Tennessee Park That Will Make You Feel Like You Walked Into A Fairy Tale
Tennessee is chock full of beautiful places to hike and picnic and just enjoy the great outdoors. But one of our favorite spaces is Fall Creek Falls State Park. If you haven’t been, you should – and we want to tell you ALL about it. Do you know how big it is, or how much Hollywood loves it? We do. And we’re about to blow your mind. Let’s go exploring together, friends.
Fall Creek Falls is a beautiful State Park located between Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville. The namesake waterfall is over 256 feet tall, making it one of the highest East of the Mississippi.
The park features over 34 miles of trails of varying lengths and difficulties. For a truly magical trail, make sure to take the trail from the top of Fall Creek Falls down to the base and swim in the fall's pool.
Fall Creek Lake in the park is a perfect place for a serene and secluded fishing experience. The park even offers fisherman cabins right off of the pier, the perfect place for the true angler to get away and go for the big one.
The park is on the Cumberland Plateau and thus features quite a few overlooks from the many cliffs and bluffs. As you make your way through the park, you never know what breathtaking sights you'll come across.
This place is so magical, Disney decided it was good enough for one of their live action movies. That's right, The Jungle Book used Fall Creek Falls as the landscape for some of its scenes. See how many scenes you can find when you visit the park.
Not only does Fall Creek Falls have many gorgeous overlooks and waterfalls, it also has three caves. Rumbling Falls Cave actually has the second largest cave chamber in the United States. Just when you thought it couldn't get any more magical.
